In Ibadan, Oyo State, armed thieves killed a point-of-sale operator named Saheed Lawal Dunmoye.

On Saturday, January 8, 2022, Lawal was shot dead at his home in Elelubo zone, Bako village, Apata, along the Ibadan-Abeokuta Expressway.

The deceased was claimed to have just returned from a mosque where he went to pray at 7 p.m. According to a source, the group knocked on the door and opened fire on their target as soon as he opened it.

They wanted money, and the deceased’s wife had no idea her husband had been shot. The money was given to them, and they fled on a motorcycle,” the person claimed.

The incident was reported to the Omi-Adio Police Station at 9 p.m. the same day, according to residents. They claimed, on the other hand, that the police were doing nothing to protect the lives and property of individuals who lived in the neighborhood.

Likewise, friends have rushed to Facebook to express their condolences for the deceased.
