In a sad report, a final year student of the Ladoke Akinola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso has been confirmed dead.
Per what we gathered, this male student died after falling into a soak-away in his hostel. The student is identified as Asefon Nifemi Benard and he is a student of the Department of Animal Nutrition and Biotechnology.
He allegedly fell after suffering an electric shock while attempting to switch on his light and according to reports, he was subsequently rushed to LAUTECH teaching hospital after the incident.
However, he failed to get immediate medical attention as the medical personnel on duty allegedly said they had to get a call from the Dean of Students Affairs before attending to Nifemi.
Due to how things were going, his friends then decided to take him to another hospital, Bowen Teaching Hospital, but he was confirmed dead upon arrival.
Meanwhile, some armed men who are suspected to be bandits have killed two more abducted Greenfield University students. This latest development was confirmed by the state’s Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.
According to him, the university has been informed of the development, however, he failed to disclose the identities of the killed students.
