Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne, is now a doubt for this weekend’s Premier League clash against Arsenal.
This follows his withdrawal from the Belgium squad. De Bruyne was substituted during the second half of their 2-1 defeat to England in the Nations League on Sunday.
The 29-year-old has now been deemed not “fit enough” to feature in the game against Iceland on Wednesday and has returned to Manchester for further assessment.
Belgium manager, Roberto Martinez, speaking after the defeat to England, said: “I would not say that Kevin is injured… he said he felt something.
“It is too early to know what he has, but he did not feel 100 per cent. It was rather a precautionary change.”
