A strike by some gunmen at a filling station in Akure, Ondo state‘s capital on Tuesday June 23, left someone dead.
The state’s police spokesperson, Tee-Leo Ikoro stated a filling station along Oba-Ile Road area of the city was struck late in the evening on Tuesday. The gunmen did not succeed in robbing the filling station, the incident nonetheless led to pandemonium with a lot of people scuttling for security.
2 suspects were apprehended not far from the scene of the occurrence in connection to the criminal activity, while 2 various other suspects that got away are being tracked by the police. A rifle, a dane gun, some cartridges as well as live ammo were recuperated from both jailed suspects.
