The Inspector-General of Police(IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has instructed a manhunt for the armed gang that attacked Isanlu Police Station and a commercial bank in Yagba East LGA of Kogi State on Thursday.
Police spokesperson, DCP Frank Mba, said in a declaration in Abuja yesterday that while condemning the occurrences, the IGP had released detectives from the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), the Special Tactical Squad (STS) and Federal-SARS to Kogi State to make sure that the crooks are nailed and brought to publication.
The attackers even apparently strike the Divisional Police headquarters in the community, murdering yet-to-be-ascertained variety of men and officers.

He said the IGP even directed the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Zone-8 Police Headquarters, Lokoja, AIG Yunana Babas, to quickly assess the security and ascertain setup in Kogi State and environments in order to protect against a re-occurrence.
