Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA are conducting a search to recuperate a 4-year-old child that was swept away by flooding in Lagos.
The occurrence supposedly took place around 10 am during the course of the torrential rainfall with coincident massive flooding.
Director-General of LASEMA, Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, affirmed the incident to the publication, stating that the organization received a distress signal from a witness.
“Response crew from the agency has actually been sent off instantly with search and rescue operation ongoing,” Oke-Osanyintolu explained.
The rescue crew started their search at 38 Fashola road, Papa Asafa, Orile, Agege, Vanguard reports.
