Nigeria Green chamber has made threat to issue a warrant of arrest on the Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF) Ahmed Idris.
Chairman, Committee on Public Account (PAC), Wole Oke (PDP- Osun) issued the threat on Monday, NAN reports.
He reminisced that Idris had actually been “asked several times to appear as well as defend monetary concerns emerging from the Office of the Auditor-General of the Federation however he is fleing”.
Idris was call to defend the amount spent on COVID-19 pandemic response before an investigatory hearing.
“He has to show up right here on June 15 or we will issue a warrant of arrest on him”, Oke advised.
This as a result of the failing of the AGF to turn up before the committee.
They advised him not to “disrespecting the parliament” as well as the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
