PDP, former Vice Presidential candidate Peter Obi, on Saturday advised Muslims to pray God to “re-engineer our nation and position it for true success.”
Let us use this thoughtful time to ask God to end the countless blood-letting in our land and help re-direct our leadership whatsoever levels so they can put the nation first in all they do.”
While wishing all Muslims a happy Sallah Festival, Peter Obi reminded them that the sacrifice of fasting for one month will certainly be useless if it is not equated into compassion and kind deeds in their partnership with each other.
Obi said this in a message he sent to the Muslim Faithful in the nation, as they finish the 30-day Ramadan fasting and prayers.
” I advise you Muslims consequently to utilize this period to pray Fervently to Allah to forgive us our trespasses and help save the country from the insufficiency of direction inherent in her political leadership.
Obi said the Eid-Él-Fitr Festival, which follows one month of supplication, outfits the Faithful with the needed spiritual stamina to approach God for His compassion on our nation.
He said Nigerians need to intensify their prayers for the survival of the country.
The message was included in a declaration signed and sent out to DAILY POST by his media aide, Valentine Obienyem.
Obi noted that the challenge of the Coronavirus pandemic on the planet has Terribly dislocated the economic and socio-political structures of the nation explaining that only focused leaders with the fear of God can take us in the ideal direction.
